'No wang-wang' posters put up in NAIA
MANILA, Philippines – Several posters have been put up at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) to remind passengers that the airport is a “no wang-wang” zone.
Manila International Airport Authority General Manager Jose Angel Honrado said the posters will warn VIP passengers who want to be given special treatment at the expense of other passengers.
Honrado said airport authorities are also monitoring suspicious activity in the airport via closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras, especially passengers who are being processed in the airport’s immigration area.
However, the airport official noted that under security protocol, some government officials on official business will be given added security and courtesy upon their arrival or departure. -- Report from Raoul Esperas
